April showers bring May flowers, and we sincerely hope that your garden is in full bloom this month!

Though the deluge of snow we were promised this winter had yet to materialize when my family made its trek to Leavenworth, we still enjoyed enough of the cold fluff to have a great time. Stevens Pass was clear and we drove from Lynnwood to the charming Bavarian-themed town in a couple of hours.

I must confess that Olympia was merely a place I zoomed past on Interstate 5 prior to my recent weekend away there. I had no idea that the capital of our state had more to offer than politicians. It has an airport, several marinas, lakes, waterfalls, great dining and bakeries. And the people are friendly, too.
